Loving Lord Jesus,
I praise and thank You because Your mercies are unending and they are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness that we are not consumed. Please shower Your grace and mercy upon me in abundance on this day. Enable me to reflect Your virtues of having love and compassion and being slow to anger on my fellow-beings. Help me to exalt Your name in everything that I do on this day. May my thoughts, words and deeds bring glory to Your name now and forever.
In Your matchless name I pray. Amen.
Oh gracious God, enlighten my mind and heart with truth, love, mercy, gratitude and compassion. Give me the courage to follow you daily in faith, love and hope. In my busy day help me
to think of you now and then.
Make me aware of the needs of the people around me. Help me to be grateful for what I have and help those with so much less. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
Heavenly Father, we gather together and come into agreement in the wonderful and powerful Name of Jesus Christ.
Where two or more are gathered there You'll be in the midst of us and anything we agree upon as touching You will surely do.
Father in Jesus Name, there is no distance in the spirit and we thank You for the listener who desires a prayer to be merciful and compassionate to people who are difficult.
Father, we thank You for Your mercy and Your abundant love for the listener.
Thank You for walking beside them and helping them clean up the mistakes they have made since no one is perfect.
At some point we have all acted unbecoming towards someone else and in essence, been difficult to deal with.
We've been a ‘difficult' person to someone else.
From this point of reference help the listener to see difficult people in that same light – that no one is perfect, we all trip up and are facing challenges in life that ushers us into acting ungodly.
Please help the listener when they run into difficult people to remember all the times You helped them so they can respond with a heart filled with compassion and not with judgment.
Help them to reach out with mercy and love to those who are difficult to deal with. For all they know the ‘difficult' person could have had an abusive childhood, just received a bad doctor's report, or had a divorce finalized.
Life is tough and not everyone knows how to handle it, including those who have made Christ their Lord and Saviour.
We decree and declare that the listener has a heart filled with compassion and not with judgment, reaching out to help difficult people when You ask them to.
We decree and declare they are merciful and compassionate to people who are difficult to deal with.
Praise You Father for those specific times You instruct for the listener to help those difficult people beyond just a friendly smile.
We decree and declare that the listener helps difficult people in whatever way and to whatever extent You direct in Jesus Name.
We rebuke judgment and condemnation towards difficult people in the life of the listener. We declare that mercy and love overflow to others.
We believe and receive everything we've prayed and give You glory in advance for this prayer is answered!
In the wonderful and precious Name of Jesus we pray, amen.
By the mercy of God: I decree that the hand of the enemy shall not prevail over my life, in the name of Jesus.
Every power robbing me of the mercy and favor of God: Your time is over release me and die, in the name of Jesus.
Infinite God –
In times of trouble, darkness and confusion I cry out to you, God, for answers and comfort. The future is unclear and frightening and all I can do is look to you for hope. Please show us your will and open our hearts to receive and understand it.
Your compassion has no end. As I struggle to find answers, there is comfort in knowing that you experience my pain and suffering with me. Help me find the mercy to turn my own suffering into healing for someone else. Help me turn my focus away from myself and onto those around me who also feel lost.
Teach me how to comfort others, turning my pain into a guide of gentleness and mercy. Instead of licking my own wounds, help me recognize the pain of your children and comfort them.
Be a beacon of light, guiding us out of our darkness. Help me be a haven of compassion and understanding for those who also suffer.
Amen
Merciful God of compassion and justice,
have mercy on us as we confess our sin.
We are not the stewards Christ calls us to be.
Riches possess us while others go hungry.
We mismanage creation with our pollution and strife
to obtain ever more than we already have.
We abuse your provision for us by our selfish desires.
Help us hear again Christ's call to be faithful,
and through him forgive us
as we repent of our sin and turn from it…
Lord, hear our prayer.
Loving God,
with a handful of flour and a drop of oil
the widow of Zarephath fed the prophet Elijah
before her child and herself.
God, teach us the joy of hospitality
which welcomes friend and stranger,
neighbour and enemy,
and so finds You feasting among us….
Lord, hear our prayer.
