Lord Jesus, our Redeemer, You willingly gave Yourself up to death so that all people might be saved and pass from death into a new life. Listen to our prayers; look with love on Your people who mourn and pray for their dead brother/sister.
Lord Jesus, You alone are holy and compassionate; forgive our brother/sister his/her sins.
By dying You opened the gates of life for those who believe in You; do not let Your brother/sister be parted from You, but by Your glorious power give him/her light, joy, and peace in heaven where You live for ever and ever. Amen.
As far as I remember, my brother/sister has been with me through all the ups and downs of life. We ate and played together, gave advice to each other and kept no secret from one another. Now, seeing as he/she is gone, I pray that he/she finds everlasting life and eternal happiness in Your powerful embrace. I pray You watch over his/her wife/husband/children/investments on Earth and let Your gaze shift not oh Lord. I thank You for this prayer session and in Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
Dear Lord,
please help me to understand why my lovely sister, Sabrina
had to go
help me to see her, happy and In your arms, safe In heaven with you
dry my tears with your hands, and fill my heart with your
love
let her know that I love her, always will always have
and that I hope for the day when I can be with her like sisters should
let her know that she Is In my heart, never will It go old of her spirit
and that I mourn her absence, and pray for understanding
Lord, let me understand that You have a greater plan
I feel her so close, yet so far away
Thank you
Amen
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
O Lord, your sorrowing Mother stood by your cross; help us in our sorrows to share your sufferings.
Like the seed buried in the ground, you have produced the harvest of eternal life for us; make us always dead to sin and alive to God.
Shepherd of all, in death you remained hidden from the world; teach us to love our hidden spiritual life with you and the Father.
In your role as the new Adam, you went down among the dead to release all the just there since the beginning; grant that all who are dead in sin may hear your voice and rise to new life.
Son of the living God, you have allowed us through baptism to be buried with you; grant that we may also rise with you in baptism and walk in newness of life. Amen.
Jesus, my Savior, times and seasons are in your able hand. You know when we will be born and when we will leave this earth and come back home. You knew that our loved one would not be with us today. We want to praise you for the time we had with them. As we go through this mourning season, Lord, we pray that you give us a deep sense of peace. We know that no one can ever take the place of our loved one, that is why we are asking you to fill the gap that our loved one has left in our lives with your love. May we find comfort in you alone. In Jesus' holy name. Amen.
God of Heaven's Armies, we are in shock and pain. We do not know how we will pull through this Lord. Our loved one has left us in the most unexpected way Lord. While we know that we are only here for a season, Lord, it is hard to come to terms with what has happened. Lord, we need divine strength in this family. Fill our hearts with courage and help us to accept that our dear one is now with you. Let this knowledge of them joining you in paradise be our source of comfort and strength. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Father of Enduring Faithfulness, as a believer in Christ, to be away from the body is to be with you. I know that my loved one is with you right now in heaven, enjoying your closeness. Lord though it is difficult to accept that they are gone, I know that you love them so much and that is why you took them. Jesus may they bask in your glory as we all wait for you to come back and take us all into your presence where there is no mourning and sorrow. I pray this, trusting and believing. Amen.
