"Dear God: I'm having so much trouble sleeping that I'm tired and stressed a lot. I don't have the energy to function well with all I have to do each day when I'm dealing with this insomnia. I can't experience the peace you want for me when I can't get to sleep and renew my body, mind, and spirit. I need your help to get the sleep I need every night. You know all the methods I've tried to get to sleep that haven't worked so far for me. [Mention whatever you've tried: white noise, eye masks, sleeping pills, etc.] Please give me the wisdom to discover what's really causing my insomnia so I'll know how best to treat it.
"As I prepare for sleep, please relax my body, send me thoughts that will quiet and calm my mind, and reassure my spirit that you and your angels are watching over me. Please send Archangel Gabriel into my dreams with messages that will help me become healthier overall. Help me to remember to pray about whatever is worrying me when I can't sleep. Give me the faith I need to trust that you will intervene in any situation I present to you in prayer. Thank you for always being present with me, and for loving me unconditionally and completely. Knowing that, I can confidently rest in a relationship with you. Amen."

I was going over the stats here, and I discovered the single most common search that directs visitors to this page is an old post on prayers for insomnia. Go figure,
At any rate, here are some prayers for sleep which are prayed during the Night (Compline) prayers in my breviary.
Lord,
Give our bodies restful sleep
and let the work we have done today
bear fruit in eternal life.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Lord, fill this night with your radiance.
May we sleep in peace and rise with joy
to welcome the light of a new day in your name.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Lord Jesus Christ,
you have given your followers
an example of gentleness and humility,
a task that is easy and a burden that is light.
Accept the prayers an work of this day,
and give us the rest that will strengthen us
to render more faithful service to you
who live and reign forever and ever.
Lord God,
send restful sleep
to refresh our tired bodies.
May your help always renew us
and keep us strong in your service.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
(for Saturday)
Lord,
be with us throughout this night.
When day comes may we rise from sleep
to rejoice in the Resurrection of your Christ
Who lives and reigns forever and ever.
The conclusion of every night's prayer is also a prayer for sleep:
May the all powerful Lord grant us a restful night and a peaceful death. Amen.
Dear Lord, please remind me to read these Bible verses to comfort me when I cannot sleep. I pray the Holy Spirit will fill my room and make it safe from any evil spirits which may be present. Holy Spirit, you know the words I am unable to form. Please petition God on my behalf to comfort my soul and those close to me.
Please help me to put these habits into practice so that I may find relief. Please slow my thoughts and take away my suffering, my toiling, and my fears of not being able to go to sleep and help me to find things that work so that I do not have to go through my insomnia any longer.
Please let sleep come so that I may dream. Please speak to me through my dreams and in them provide me with solutions to my problems. I implore you to restore my soul as only you can and help me find rest.
Thank you for hearing my prayer. I ask these things in your Holy son Jesus Christ's name.
Amen.
Father, my Refuge, I cry out to You with a loud voice. My body weakened due to a lack of sleep. Hear me, Lord, from Your holy place and help me to lie down and sleep. I beg You for a night of deep and sweet sleep to restore my health. Wake me in the morning, Lord, and sustain me for the coming day. Amen.
God of Enduring Faithfulness, I come before You sleepless and weary. I don't know why sleep has become so difficult for me, but it has started affecting my health. For this reason, I am praying a promise You have given in Your Word back to You. You have told us You will give Your beloved sleep. Faithful God, I cry out to You, asking for You to bring this beloved one the rest that I need. Amen.
