O Father, We need you. I love my boyfriend so much but find that we sometimes argue and clash. Please help us, remind us of your love, show us the wisdom of forgiveness and help us to hold one another in grace. Lord, please draw near to us as we work to resolve our differences. Come guide our hearts as we seek to become closer and understand each other better. Help us to learn how to love, care for and uphold one another. We look to you Lord, we walk with you. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
We've been tossed by the seas of resentment and hurt, And the damage has torn us apart. O Lord, help us rescue the love we once shared To mend each damaged feeling and part. We've been pulled in different directions, Swayed far away from the path. O Lord, may your light draw us close again, To find all that we shared in the past. We have abandoned the love that once grew, Let it fail, watched it wither and bend. O Lord, as we open our lives back to you, Come and tend to our union as friends. We have just one hope to turn this around, So Jesus we fall at your feet. Let hope rise to draw us together as one, Your healing is all that we seek.
Father and Almighty God, You know my heart for my boyfriend's salvation, reformation in each of us and restoration despite divorce. Most of all you know my desire for a ministry to emerge as a result of these blessings to bring you honor and glory. Your word confirms I am not in error in seeking these things. You have counted tears for four years and I have stayed out of your way as well as grown significantly in my own walk. I praise and thank you God for these and all blessings. Help me Father to continue to stand for the man I believe is lost and who needs to know your love. Use me God to show him forgiveness the like of which you forgave me. Hallelujah, thine the glory. Revive us for all to see and know your intentions for those who stand and intercede for prodigal spouses. Amen.
Father, when his heart is burdened and his spirit weary, the world seems dark all around, remind him that You are his shield, his deliverer, his rock. Remind him that You are his firm foundation, cornerstone and stronghold. (2Sam.22:1-4) Protect him from any attacks the enemy plans to make on his mind, diverting the fiery darts that get sent his way. You will not fail him, for You will not reject your people; You will never forsake Your inheritance. (Ps. 94:14) In Jesus' precious name. Amen.
Lord, I know that Your arm is not too short that You cannot save, (Is.58:1) so preserve the life of my husband so that he might grow old to watch his children's children grow. I entrust him to You, fully convinced that You are able to protect him this day and every day of his life. (2Tim.1:12)
Lord Jesus, you know the things that are hidden deep in our hearts and are causing us to drift away from each. We are on the verge of breaking up, and I need your help. I know that your will is to keep us together because you brought us together. Please teach us how to love each other the right way. If there are things we are doing – knowingly or unknowingly – to hurt each other, Lord, reveal them to us and show us how to change. Help us to make informed decisions that will strengthen our relationship and bring glory to your holy name. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Dear Lord God, I feel like I am stuck in a relationship that has no sense of direction, and this is causing a lot of agony in my life. I know that you put my partner and I together for a higher purpose. Help us to walk in that purpose together. Father, show us areas we need to grow as individuals and as a couple. Grant us the grace to follow what you tell us to do. Fill us with the courage to step out of our comfort zones and what the world calls “normal” so that we can represent the kingdom and glorify your holy name. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Dear Father in Heaven, it is not possible for me to keep my mouth from speaking things it should not. I need Your power to guard my tongue. Help me to think before I speak. Help me to feel that nudge of Your Holy Spirit before words rush out of my mouth.
