Dear Heavenly Father, how I praise You for being gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love! I confess that too often, I grow impatient when things don't go according to my plan, or when people don't behave the way I think they should. I know this controlling tendency is a sinful desire to usurp the authority that only ever belongs to You. Please forgive me, and help me to be patient with others, as You have been patient with me. Please also grant me Your grace that enables me to wait patiently for Your return, and to labor steadfastly in the meantime. It's in the name of my Savior, Jesus Christ, that I pray. Amen.
Lord Jesus, may everything I do begin with You, continue with Your help, and be done under Your guidance. May my sharing in the Mass free me from my sins, and make me worthy of Your healing. May I grow in Your Love and Your service, and become a pleasing offering to You; and with You to Your Father. May the mystery I celebrate help me to reach eternal life with you. AMEN
Blessed Mary, Mother of Consolation, pray with me for the virtue of patience. There are so many times when my lack of patience keeps me from becoming the kind of person God wants me to be.
Guide my thoughts to you and the example we have in your own life. Help me to become patient, as you were patient. Through your guidance, may I become more accepting of others around me. Assist me to welcome difficult times with a patient heart.
May I be patient, Mary, as was your beloved husband, Joseph. His quiet acceptance of the will of Our Loving Father should be an example for me always. His patience was most wonderful in the eyes of God.
Pray for me, dear Mother of God, that I will allow the Father to come into my heart and help me grow in patience. Amen.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.
Help us follow the path of Jesus, the Suffering Servant. Give us the courage to walk the path of depression and pain with the victims of injustice here at home and abroad. Help us seek ways to light candles of hope, however small, through our words, our deeds, and our prayers, to encourage our sisters and brothers to hold onto the faith in spite of the pain and suffering they are facing. O God, help us to light one candle than to curse the darkness.
We pray this in the name of Jesus, who knows what being a light in this dark world is all about.
May we put our trust in the power of good to overcome evil and the power of love to overcome hatred. We pray for the vision to see and the faith to believe in a world emancipated from violence, a new world where fear shall no longer lead men or women to commit injustice, nor selfishness makes them bring suffering to others. Help us to devote our whole life and thought and energy to the task of making peace, praying always for the inspiration and the power to fulfill the destiny for which I created us and all men and women. Amen
God, I may not understand how everything will work out but i trust you. I don't see a way, but i know you will make a way. I have faith that at this very moment you are touching hearts, opening doors, and lining up the right opportunities. Things may look dark and bleak now, but i have faith that my dawn is coming. Amen
I know that God has a plan. I pray for direction to follow it, patience to wait on it, and knowledge to know when it comes. In Jesus Name. Amen
