Heavenly Father, fill our relationship with your glory. May we live according to the gospel and progress in spiritual maturity in this season of engagement and our marriage. Grant us all things that pertain to life and godliness. May we be fully pleasing to you, bearing fruit in every work that you have given us. Saturate our hearts with love that we may love you, others, and ourselves more. Help us to reflect your grace, love, and peace in everything that we do. May we devote our time to know your perfect will in our lives as a couple. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
Lord, we know that without the right counsel, our marriage will fail. Help us to turn to the counsel of the Holy Spirit before we run to anyone for advice. But we know that you also speak through people. Put the right people in our path. Give them wisdom that they may give us advice that comes directly from you. If there is anyone in our lives that is giving us the wrong advice Father, remove them. Lord, bless our marriage and draw us close to you in Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
Lord, we come before You now to ask Your blessing on this engagement, and pray You will pour our Your grace and favour on this Christian couple, in the commitment that they have made to each other and in their desire to consecrate their future relationship to You.
Heavenly Lord, thank You for drawing this couple together in love, and for the betrothal commitment that they have made to each other. And so we lift them up to You, and pray for Your blessing on their engagement and future life together.
Guide their choices and plans in the days that lie ahead. Strengthen and uphold them as together they make arrangements for their wedding day. Give them wisdom and understanding of the commitment that they have pledged to each other, and may they find great joy and deep contentment in their love for each other.
May Your love and peace undergird them and Your Holy Spirit lead and guide them. This we ask in Jesus' name,
Amen.
Dear Heavenly Father, how good You are to give us the gift of anticipation about joyous occasions to come! Thank you for the person You have ordained for me to marry, and for directing our relationship thus far. I pray that you would continue to make your will known to us, in big ways and small, as we pursue your will together. We long to glorify you in our relationship, now and forevermore. It's in the name of my Savior, Jesus Christ, that I pray. Amen.
Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you with joy and thanksgiving as we celebrate the engagement of this couple and the commitment they have made to each other to be joined together in marriage. We thank You for all of the time they have shared together and for the many joys and challenges that have given them the opportunity to know each other more deeply. Thank You for the love that has grown between them. Help their love to continue to grow daily as it encompasses all of the many wonderful aspects of love including compassion, a sense of belonging to each other, friendship and unconditional love.
I give thanks to my God always on your account for the grace of God bestowed on you in Christ Jesus, that in him you were enriched in every way, with all discourse and all knowledge, as the testimony to Christ was confirmed among you, so that you are not lacking in any spiritual gift as you wait for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will keep you firm to the end, irreproachable on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, and by him you were called to fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Lord God and Creator, we bless and praise your name. In the beginning you made man and woman, so that they might enter a communion of life and love. You likewise blessed the union of N. and N., so that they might reflect the union of Christ with his Church: look with kindness on them today. Amid the joys and struggles of their life you have preserved the union between them; renew their marriage covenant, increase your love in them, and strengthen their bond of peace, so that (surrounded by their children) they may always rejoice in the gift of your blessing. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
